Sorry, I forgot your name!
A German university study reports that after a stressful event, participants' saliva samples showed a spike in cortisol levels.  Cortisol is the stress hormone in the body.  As a result, recalling names, birthdays, or other socially relevant memories was more difficult.  So next time you forget a birthday or anniversary, check what happened in your life!
